A sneak peak into a typical day in our PreKindergarten class:
- Circle Time - which includes learning the days of the week, months of the year, numbers, learning about the seasons, money practice, and telling time
- Bible stories, use of devotions, Scripture Time and Application
- Language Arts Time - includes alphabet and sound practice, read aloud time, and basic reading skill time.
- Snack Time
- Centers - which include a variety of teacher directed learning activities and free exploration activities. Fine motor practice such as writing and cutting activities take place during this time. Math activities are directed by the teacher at a center and in a small group.
- Large Motor Time - which takes place in the gym, motor room, or on the playground.
- Worship Time - students are led through singing worship songs and prayer with a high importance placed on learning to be reverent before the Lord. We attend chapel every Thursday morning with the whole school.
